Powell
The village of Powell as now incorporated includes the original "old village" and the areas now known as The Retreat, Olentangy Ridge, Bartholomew Run, The Chase, Deer Run, Liberty Hills and Cardinal Hills. It is serviced by a full-time village police department and by the full-time Liberty Township fire department which has an emergency medical unit with state-of-the-art heart monitoring and trauma equipment.
Nearby shopping centers, as well as Liberty Plaza and Powell Village Center in the Village, and easy access to Delaware, Northwest Franklin County, and Columbus make suburban Powell the perfect residential community in which to live. It combines the best of both worlds-the ease of country living and the convenience of larger metropolitan areas. Antiquing enthusiasts will also attest to the fact that Powell is one of best places in the state in which to find those one-of-a-kind relics.
Powell recently issued bonds to construct a municipal service center and purchase additional park land. Also, construction of a municipal office center and a branch of the Delaware County Library are anticipated in the near future.
